Lentic systems

Lentic systems are different ecosystems of water. However pools and ponds are separated from lakes by the sunlight. Both pools and ponds can be reached by the sun to the bottom of the water. Whereas lake bottoms can not be reached by the sun. There are two regions. thee pelagic open water zone, and the benthic zone, which comprises the bottom and shore regions.
